Bogotá DC, September 2, 2020. The Minister of Health and Social Protection, Fernando Ruiz, announced the program agenda for the implementation of the Sustainable Selective Testing, Tracking and Isolation Program (PRASS), pillar of the new selective isolation stage with responsible individual distancing.
In his intervention in the Prevention and Action program, Ruiz explained the importance of the implementation of the PRASS for the reactivation and recovery of the "greater normalcy possible."
During the presentation of the Program, which goes from a generalized quarantine model to the isolation of confirmed, suspected and probable cases–and their close contacts–, the Minister of Health presented the agenda that begins with the training of 69 EAPB in a meeting held September 3.
"Knowledge of the details of the strategy is very important for all actors in the health system, that is why we have already defined the program agenda for the implementation of the PRASS. The objective is to present the program, the technical and normative materials to the companies that administer the benefit plans (EAPB), which are EPSs and administrators of special regimes, and to the territorial entities," indicated the head of the health ministry.
The training to the territorial entities will take place next Monday, September 7 and will run until the 18th of the same month. The meetings will be held in groups of nine subregions; the first corresponds to the provinces of Atlántico, Bolívar, Magdalena and La Guajira.
"We trust in the commitment of all the actors of the health system to achieve the success of this program," added Ruiz.
The programmatic agenda is published on the website of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection www.minsalud.gov.co
