As of August 1st, all activity conducted by the Security and Guarantee Fund (FOSYGA) was assumed by ADRES.

 - The Administrator of the Resources of the General System of Social Security in Health is in charge of all activities conducted by FOSYGA.

Bogotá (DC), August 3, 2017. As of August 1, all activity carried out by the Security and Guarantee Fund (FOSYGA, in Spanish) was assumed by ADRES, an entity attached to the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, with legal status, administrative and financial autonomy and independent capital.

In compliance with article 66 of Law 1753, 2015, the National Government created the Administrator of the Resources of the General System of Social Security inHealth (ADRES).

The purpose of this new entity is to manage the resources of the Guarantees and Salvage Fund for the Health Sector (FONSAET, in Spanish), as well as those financing health insurance, co-payments for benefits not included in the Benefit Scheme of the Contributory System, the resources that are collected as a result of the efforts made by the Special Administrative Unit for Pension Management and Social Protection Employment Contributions (UGPP, in Spanish).

Therefore, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection informs that any activity performed to FOSYGA must now be made to ADRES.
