Other Recommendations
 
All travelers who travel to the areas identified as high risk within the country should be vaccinated with yellow fever at least 10 days prior to travel.
 
Zones defined by the National Institute of Health as high risk are: Eastern Plains, Amazon area, Orinoco area, Norte de Santander and neighboring provinces to the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, and Cienaga Grande de Santa Marta and Los Flamencos Park.
 
Yellow fever vaccination is also mandatory for all travelers who travel to countries such as Brazil, Panama, and also Central and North America, countries of the cone of Africa and the Asian continent and Australia.
