Aracataca, Magdalena, November 3, 2022. The Ministry of Health and Social Protection, in the launch of the Preventive and Predictive Health Program, has joined the Equity Fairs, in which the population will have free access to health, education and employment services.

The minister of health, Carolina Corcho, is currently visiting each of the spaces to learn about the services that are being offered, within the preventive health strategy promoted by this ministry.

Also, during this event, the experiences of territories such as Villavicencio, Boyacá, Magdalena, Tolima, Antioquia, Cundinamarca and Quindío will be known.

When speaking with citizens who are waiting to be served, Minister Corcho assured "we want you to know that what you are seeing today is what we want to see happen permanently in the country, throughout Colombia, without access barriers, in all municipalities of the country.

Among the services that are being offered are Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Oral Health, Nutrition, EPI and covid Vaccination, General Medicine, Cytology and Gynecology.

It must be remembered that, as Minister Corcho has said, the Preventive and Predictive Health Program focuses on strengthening Primary Health Care and it responds to the need to prevent disease and not only care for the sick, which has been one of the obvious weaknesses of the health system today.

The event will be held throughout the day, and, in the afternoon, the Program will be officially presented, which has the objective of responding to the needs of Colombians, guaranteeing full compliance with the fundamental right to health.

Finally, Minister Corcho indicated that the purpose of these events is to become national and that the health system can be at the service of the community.
